I think Microsoft Paint will work for screenshots, and that comes with Windows. But I like to use the GIMP for my screenshots and cleaning up my drawings. (Google "GIMP".)

I use paintshop pro. I can't think of any other good ones off the top of my head righ now, though.

What kind of imaging program? Do I need to buy it, or is already on my computer by default?

I took a screenshot and saved it on my imaging program, then uploaded it under the desktop screenshot catergory. Then I went into my profile and selected it for my "devious desktop". Does that help?
